Dearest Love

a deep one…perhaps you will feel it through the prose.

 

Sometimes we have to re-invent stories in order to get on with our lives.  And where there’s an ounce of forgiveness we can surely run a mile

 

With all my love, for this man, as this man,

She picked up the phone and called

He answered

Yes he said with immediate effect.

 

 

 

She breathed in her chest.

 

He would come

 

 

 

He picked her up without a fuss, her hair was washed she was neatly dressed.  She felt the love

In His heart for an instance was all She was.

 

They hung out for a bit

With the bears and the badgers under the trees

He’d brought a picnic

She sat on her knees

Cake had always been her favourite.

 

And there strawberries, so many strawberries, the sweetest juicy fruit

 

They sat for hours without a watch

Her eyes had tears in them but she knew she was safe.

 

She smiled a lot and giggled

 

She felt the smile in His face.
