I sat
A window open for heartbreak
Through the cracks
I saw deer etched into the wood. Eyes that looked back; told me all would be alright
Looked up to the sky, high, saw an avocado pear. Was reminded of that book
The Avocado baby book
Strength hits us in many ways
In One way I couldn’t cope
Strength brings us down to our knees when we are armed with grief
Gave up, give up
There was no more I could handle
Only peace
Laid it all bare under the night sky; the skin
tinted by the moon
